THE SERIES
Dr House is an American series created by David Shore, which was broadcasted for the first time on November 16th, 2004 on the Fox. In France, we have been watching it since February 28th, 2007 on TF1. The series groups five finished seasons, the last one being broadcasted in the USA.
This series presents a sarcastic doctor, House, who works at Princeton Plainsboro, an hospital in the New Jersey. The hero is the head of the diagnosis department and has to solve tough medical cases. In order to help him, he was helped in the first three seasons by three young doctors : Eric Foreman, a neurologist, Allison Cameron, an immunologist, and Robert Chase, an intensive care medecine specialist. At the begining of the fourth season, House has to piece a new team, because of the resignation of his doctors. Finally, he chooses to work again with Foreman, and hires Chris Taub, a plastic surgeon, Lawrence Kutner, a sports medecine specialist, and Remy Hadley, “number thirteen” .
House is the friend of James Wilson, who is the head of the Departement of Oncology, and works for Lisa Cuddy, the Chief Hospital Administrator. ( If you want to know more about the characters, click on the boutton that have its name ).
According to David Shore, the creator of the series, the concept is not to know if Dr House will manage to save his patient or not, but the interest is to watch how he manages to do it, and how he behaves with his team.
