Les Inrockuptibles
Les Inrockuptibles is a French cultural magazine. The magazine is known as “les inrocks”. It started as a monthly magazine in 1986 and was very elitist. The magazine was o nly sold in Paris. In 1995 it became weekly sold al l around the country . The name is a playon word with "Les Incorruptibles", the French title of the American television series The Untouchables. It was at the beginning a rock music magazine which included critics of albums. Currently, many other topics were tackled: cinema, books, society... In the 90’s les Inrockuptibles began to become an important french movie critic with bold covers. 
They supported controversial films such as: Crash a movie directed by David Cronenberg. Nowdays one of the former editor-in-chief of les inrocks (Oliver Père) is the president of a section at the Cannes film festival. One of the most important critic of the magazine: Jean Marc Lalanne, is the former editor-in-chief of Cahiers du cinéma. Lalanne is also one of the specialist of Gus Van Sant.
