Colbie was influenced by various artists such as Steevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill and learned from her father’s friends who were in the business.
She also learned from Jason Reeves, a singer songwriter. She took her inspiration from everyday life (conversations or observations).

In 2006 she began posting her songs on MySpace. She rapidly got many friends and was noticed by brilliant artists. She became the first unsigned artist and her number of friends reached 100.000. Her profile has been visited over 3 million times.

Thanks to this success she released her first album « Coco » co-written by Jason Reeves.
She is growing as a live performer and now gives many shows with her band.

She constantly wants to improve : she is taking piano lessons continuing guitar and she is writing other songs for her next album.
